Sky News Australia hires stunning Canadian meteorologist Bradlyn Oakes to do Aussie weather reports
Australia has recently welcomed a Canadian meteorologist to its team to present Aussie weather reports. Bradlyn Oakes hails from the snowy city of Regina, Saskatchewan, and recently moved to to take up the role. Oakes has several years experience working in the Canadian Arctic and looks to brighten things up with her sunny disposition. She joins a long line of American voices on Sky News, which routinely features US-based guests and contributors to discuss political issues, both local and international. Oakes will be working alongside veteran meteorologists Alison Osborn and Rob Sharpe. Oakes recently posted a photo to Instagram capturing her on the Sky News set with a satellite view of Australia behind her, 'Exciting times! First day on air at Sky News Weather Australia! Cannot wait for all the adventures,' she wrote. She also joked it was 'definitely nice to be in sunny weather and have a tan'. Many of her fans were quick to congratulate her on the exciting career move. 'So tanned and beautiful! They're lucky to have you, enjoy,' one fan gushed and another wrote: 'Since you joined the channel, I watch it more often because I love your accent.' In addition to being a meteorologist, Oakes is also an elite athlete who frequently takes part in Ironman marathons and a keen traveler. She has been married to her husband Nick since 2019.
