Coronavirus: Three new cases of Covid-19, Ministry of Health reports
There are three new cases of Covid-19 in managed isolation, two in Waikato and one in Christchurch Two of the three new cases are men in their 30s. Both arrived in New Zealand on July 14 from Afghanistan, via Doha. Both tested positive after day three tests. Both men, and the family of one of them, were transferred from Waikato to the Auckland quarantine facility on Saturday night. The woman remains in quarantine. There are now 25 active cases in New Zealand, none of which require hospital care, while the number of confirmed cases has increased to 1203. A further 1365 tests were completed on Saturday, bringing the total number to 442,488. On Saturday, one new case of Covid-19 was reported in New Zealand . Saturdays case is a man in his 50s who arrived in the country on July 12 from Central Africa via Tanzania, Doha and Brisbane. He is now in a quarantine facility in Auckland after being transferred on Friday. On Friday there was one new Covid-19 case a man in his 30s who travelled to New Zealand from Pakistan via Dubai on July 10.
