U.S. President Joe Biden, Japan PM Fumio Kishida to Hold Summit in Hiroshima on Thursday

The two leaders are expected to coordinate their opinions on major issues before the G7 Hiroshima Summit scheduled for May 19-21. According to the White House, Biden is scheduled to leave Washington on Wednesday and arrive in Hiroshima on Thursday. At the G7 summit, Russias invasion of Ukraine and responses to Chinas increasingly hegemonic actions will be among the items on the agenda. Biden and Kishida are expected to confirm the strength of the U.S.-Japan alliance and demonstrate their commitment to leading the discussions at the G7 summit in a united manner.
