Frustrated former fire chiefs plan to hold their own national summit on bushfires and climate change and have accused the government of displaying a "lack of leadership". A coalition of 29 former emergency services bosses plans to hold talks at the end of the current bushfire season despite the Morrison Government rejecting the suggestion. The 'Emergency Leaders for Climate Action' group accused the prime minister of creating a policy vacuum by downplaying climate change concerns. Labor said it would participate in the summit, as it continues to criticise the government's handling of the issue. Image: News Corp Australia Read More Our Apps
