Grantham Institute on Climate Change's Bob Ward says the United Kingdom has reduced its emissions greatly since the 1990s but is still "nowhere near" a safe path. "The fact that we are on a lower temperature path is down to the fact that many countries are now cutting their emissions the movement is towards lower emissions in many countries including the UK," he told TalkTV presenter Rosanna Lockwood. "The UK has reduced its emissions greatly since 1990, we need developing countries like China to reduce their emissions now. "So that's a good thing, but we're nowhere near being on a safe path."
