Australia has signed an agreement with the United States around climate change and the so-called 'clean energy transformation' as Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has labelled the US "our most important relationship". "We appreciate the alliance as our most important relationship," Mr Albanese said in a media conference. The "statement of intent" was signed before talks between Mr Albanese and US President Joe Biden on the sidelines of the G7 summit where the Australian Prime Minister called climate action a "national security issue".
