International climate change scene ‘may change under Joe Biden’: Albanese
Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese says the "international scene on climate change" may be different under President-elect Joe Biden than under President Trump when the government's climate policy was announced. It comes as the opposition's agriculture and resources spokesperson Joel Fitzgibbon resigned on Tuesday amid ongoing disagreement over Labor's climate and energy policies. Mr Albanese said the opposition has a net-zero emission by 2050 target and it will have a "complete announcement in terms of how we get there" before the next election. He said the media should be "holding this Government to account now that does not have an energy policy in this country". "If I had announced a policy under President Trump it may well be that the international scene on climate change is different under President-elect Biden." Read More Our Apps
