Greens leader Adam Bandt has praised ANZs climate change campaign as a good move. ANZ announced it is embarking on an ambitious climate campaign, increasing pressure on farmers, construction firms and other companies to establish low carbon transition plans. The low carbon deadline will apply to the energy, transport and agriculture sectors. The banks climate plan supports the net zero emission goal outlined by the Paris agreement. Its a good move, coal is the major cause of climate crisis and gas is as dirty as coal, Mr Bandt told Sky News. And to have any chance of meeting our obligations under the Paris Agreement and keeping global warming to below two degrees we are going to need to get out of coal and gas within a decade or two at most.
