Scientists warn wildfires, floods and heatwaves are becoming the norm. Scientists have long warned climate change will make extreme weather events more frequent. At least 150 people have died in what are being called once in a century floods across Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Forest fires are burning through Siberia, usually one of the coldest places on Earth. And wildfires in the western regions of Canada and the United States could trigger the regions fourth heatwave in just a month. Scientists believe we are running out of time to reverse the damage from a warming planet. So how should we, and governments, adapt to the new reality?
