New research suggests Australians are unlikely to combat climate change by giving up meat or limiting meat consumption. A La Trobe University survey asked participants about the impact of meat-eating on the climate. It found most people do not believe reducing meat intake is an effective way to address global warming. Instead, the study suggested Australians were more likely to invest in green energy and recycling. Participants claimed a lack of meat alternatives at restaurants as a barrier to a vegetarian diet.
