Lula must fulfill a promise every 14 days

Full Article Source

The president-elect, Lula, will have to fulfill an electoral promise every 14 days of his term in order to honor all the commitments made during the campaign. This list refers to the objectives disclosed in his government program, in electoral advertisements, in the letter of commitment released on October 27, and in interviews during the election period. Lula launched on these platforms and in statements at least 103 proposals in areas such as the economy, agriculture, education, health, and public security, in addition to political issues, such as the organization of ministries. This list also includes statements by the future Chief Executive, such as that he will not run for reelection, that he will not privatize Petrobras and Correios (National post), and that he will not work to change the ICMS (Tax on the Circulation of Goods and Services) policy of the states. Lula faced criticism in the campaign for not having presented a detailed government plan. Most of the goals have no detailed explanation regarding how they will be made financially feasible or administratively implemented.
