'Pointless' for only developed nations to act on climate change

Prime Minister Scott Morrison saying it is pointless to act on climate change unless developing countries do, according to Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell. The United Nations IPCC report released on Monday found climate change is unequivocally being driven by human activity and is fuelling extreme weather such as floods, fires, droughts, and cyclones. The UN secretary-general has called the report a code red for humanity and argued it should signal the death knell for coal and fossil fuels around the globe. His argument is the approach has to be about technology not taxes because only through technology will China, India, and other developing countries reduce their emissions, Mr Clennell said.
