The bushfire emergency in Australia has dominated the Golden Globe awards, with Russell Crowe dedicating his best actor gong to the fire fighting effort on his home soil. Crowe won Best Actor for his role in the television series The Loudest Voice, and while he was not there to accept the award, his acceptance speech was read out by fellow actor Jennifer Aniston.
