Climate change plan needs more 'facts back into this debate'
Resources and Water Minister Keith Pitt says we need to get some facts back into the debate on Australias net-zero climate change plan. The Prime Minister is preparing to finalise a revised climate change policy for Australia following his return from America but he needs the Nationals on board to do so. Once the proposal is put forward, my colleagues will have a discussion, theyll have their views, and as Ive said, were not like the Labor party, where somebody tells us how to vote, what to say, how to think or otherwise we get disendorsed, Mr Pitt told Sky News Australia. Technology continues to change; well utilise those technologies as they change, and we need to get some facts back into this debate. I mean 95 per cent, 95 per cent of the worlds thermal coal production doesnt come from Australia, its from elsewhere.
