Poll reveals Australians' climate change attitudes
An exclusive YouGov poll has revealed most Australians want climate change action but are not willing to pay for it. Editor at the Daily Telegraph Ben English says Australians "want it all" when it comes to climate action despite not wanting to "shell out" to achieve this. He said about 70 per cent of Australians would be prepared to pay no more than a dollar a day if there was an increase in power bills, for example. "So they want the solution to come from somewhere else," he told Sky News Australia. He said, however, that Australians are "very optimistic" about the idea of a transition to a new energy economy. "For example, they don't believe it will have necessarily much of an impact on employment, they believe their living standards will actually increase," he said. Read More Our Apps
