The fifth anniversary of the Paris climate accord highlights the lack of global progress on cutting carbon emissions. World leaders signed the Paris Climate Agreement five years ago to cut carbon emissions and stop global temperature rises. However, the last five years have been the warmest on record. Wildfires, heatwaves, floods and melting ice caps all point to our planet in crisis. But the coronavirus pandemic is providing hope of a green, climate-led recovery. In collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programmes Champions of the Earth award, we look at how even the smallest actions can trigger global change.
